Women’s Volleyball Trio Land on Skyline All-Conference Teams
New York, NY| Seniors Kristen Bohnenblusch and Danielle Senecal, and sophomore Jessica Young of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team appeared on Skyline All-Conference teams when the organization released its end-of-season awards on Monday afternoon.
Senecal appeared on the First-Team after earning Second-Team selections in 2016 and 2017. The Manorville, NY native led the conference in total digs (477) and digs-per-set (4.71). Additionally, she was second on the team and 12th in the conference in service-aces-per-set (.50).
Young joined Senecal on the First-Team after a strong sophomore campaign that saw her finish tops on the team and second in the conference in blocks-per-set (.87). The Huntington Station, NY native also finished sixth in the Skyline in hitting percentage (.262) and was tied for the team lead in kills-per-set (2.14).
An All-Conference selection for the first time in her career, Bohnenblusch appeared on the Second-Team. She led the Golden Eagles in total service aces (57) and service-aces-per-set (.53), and was second in total digs (296) and digs-per-set (2.77). The Manorville, NY native hit .192 on the year and was third with 205 total kills.
The women's volleyball team was defeated by the College of Mount St. Vincent, 3-0, in the Skyline Conference Championship final on Saturday afternoon.
