Men’s Tennis Storms Past York, 9-0

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team recorded a dominant 9-0 victory over York College in non-conference action at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex on Thursday evening.

The win sees the Golden Eagles improve to 2-3 overall on the year as the Cardinals fall to 0-5.

SJC dropped just one game in the three doubles matches. The first doubles tandem of Ryan Freeley and Kyle Conway won 8-1 while the second and third doubles teams posted 8-0 wins.

Dylan Trude fared best in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at fifth singles. Kyle Conway and Damian Duda won 6-0, 6-1 in third and sixth singles, respectively, and Freeley picked up a 6-1, 6-1 first-singles win.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 6 when they host Mount St. Mary College for a Skyline Conference contest at 12:00 pm.
