Men's Tennis Storms Past SJC-Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team picked up a 9-0 victory over Skyline Conference rival St. Joseph's College (Brkln) on Tuesday evening. The win moves the Golden Eagles to 4-7 overall and 1-5 in Skyline play as the Bears slip to 1-7 (0-5 Skyline).

In the doubles portion of the match, Ryan Freeley and Nick Bongiorno held on for an 8-6 victory at first doubles while the second (Damian Duda/Kyle Conway) and third doubles (William Vita/Kenneth Pettersen) pairings stormed to 8-1 and 8-0 victories.  

Freeley and Dylan Trude shutout their opponents at first and fifth singles, respectively, in 6-0, 6-0 wins, while Conway dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 third singles victory. Bongiorno won 6-2, 6-2 at second singles. 

The Golden Eagles wrap up their 2019 season on Tuesday, April 23 when they visit Sarah Lawrence College for a Skyline Conference contest.
