The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's tennis earned an 8-1 non-conference victory over John Jay College on Tuesday evening. 

How it happened

• The Golden Eagles swept both doubles matches with Ryan Freeley and Nick Nemickas picking up an 8-3 win in the #1 flight with Cory Stengel and Jake Guadiello securing an 8-1 victory 

• Freeley earned an 8-6 win #1 singles over John Jay's Hamad Alobeidlli

• Cory Stengel came away with an 8-2 win in #3 singles with Anthony Flaccomio claiming an 8-2 victory in #4 singles
