Women's Swimming Competes in Skyline Meet

Kings Point, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team picked up a victory over SUNY Old Westbury (111-42) but dropped results to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (44-149) and St. Joseph's College (Brkln) (83-95) in a Skyline Conference meet in Kings Point on Wednesday evening.

Highlights included freshman Meghan Skakandi's second-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (57.47) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.28). 

Sophomore Juliana Kohlus also picked up a pair of second-place finishes--in the 100-yard fly (1:07.65) and the 500-yard free (5:59.08).

Junior Isabella Peralta was third in both the 1000-yard free (14:00.73) and the 100-yard back (1:18.81). The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Kohlus, Jordyn Cummings, Jeanna Prentice and Breanna Daly took third place. (2:08.48).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, November 23 when they host Hunter College for a non-conference meet at 1:00 pm.
