Basile Named to Skyline All-Conference Second-Team

Skyline Release

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference recognized junior Frank Basile of St. Joseph's College (L.I.) as an All-Conference Second-Team selection when it released its end-of-season men's basketball awards on Monday morning.

An All-Conference honoree for the first time in his career, Basile led the Golden Eagles in both scoring (19.7 PPG) and rebounding (8.7 RPG) in 2018-19 and ranked second and sixth, respectively, among Skyline leaders in the same categories.

The guard garnered a plethora of weekly awards during the season, including an ECAC Metro Division III Player of the Month nod in January. A five-time Met Basketball Writers Association Divisions II-III Weekly Honorable Mention selection, Basile was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week two times and landed on the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll four times.

At the conclusion of the 2018-19 season, Basile moved up to 21st in all-time SJC scoring (862) and 15th in career rebounding (398). The Islip, NY native also ranks ninth all-time with 122 three-pointer field goals.

The SJC men's basketball team posted a 5-20 record for the second-straight season in 2018-19 and failed to qualify for the Skyline Conference playoffs after posting a 4-16 conference mark.
