VIDEO: 2017 Men's Lacrosse Season Preview

Patchogue, NY| On March 1, the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's lacrosse team will take the field for the first time when it plays hosts to Western Connecticut State at Danzi Stadium at 7:00 PM.

A first-year program, the Golden Eagles will be led by three-time Newsday Long Island High School Coach of the Year Tom Rotanz. A six-time Suffolk County high school champion at Shoreham-Wading River, Rotanz has enlisted the services of 15 transfer student-athletes including former Dowling standouts Josh Shaw and Scott Reece who finished second and third in scoring for the Golden Lions in 2016.

On Tuesday afternoon the Skyline Conference released the results of its Preseason Coaches Poll which saw the Golden Eagles finish seventh out of 10 teams set to compete during the 2017 season.
