Men’s Soccer Plays SJC-Brooklyn to a Scoreless Draw

Brooklyn, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's soccer team played St. Joseph's College (Brkln) to a scoreless draw at Aviator Sports on Tuesday evening.

The result sees the Golden Eagles move to 1-2-1 overall and 0-1-1 in Skyline Conference. The Bears boast 2-2-1 and 0-0-1 marks.

Five yellow cards were handed out in a spirited affair that failed to produce a winner.

Long Island held a sizable advantage in total shots, 15-8, with Sebastiano Bartolotta and Justin Gracia sharing the team lead with three apiece.

Senior keeper Tyler Flaherty made three saves for his second clean sheet of the season. The Golden Eagles forced Brooklyn's Alejandro Oliveros into making four saves.

Both teams were credited with five corner kicks and 15 fouls.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, September 25, when they host Farmingdale State for a Skyline Conference contest at 3:00 pm.
