Allentown, PA| Heather Ferchland tallied four goals as the St. Joseph"s College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team surrendered a 18-7 decision to Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA on Thursday afternoon. With the loss, the Golden Eagles slide to 2-4 on the season while the Mules improve to 7-0.

Ferchland put SJC on the board first with an unassisted goal at 25:21, but Muhlenberg fired back with three consecutive tallies from Amanda Tullo and Jordy Bonvini (2) over the next 15 minutes.

With 6:20 to play in the half, Ferchland ended the guests' skid with a score assisted by Jessica Cordano, and as a result the Golden Eagles used the shift in momentum to fire two more past Muhlenberg keeper Kiersten Mulvery over the next five minutes as Nicole Stoppelli and Melanie Cervone fired SJC into the lead once again (4-3).

Muhlenberg would use a tying marker from Stephanie D'Ascoli with nine seconds to play in the first to ensure the sides were tied at four heading into the break.

Emma Carmody's free position goal 23 seconds into the second reestablished the Mules' lead, but the marker was matched by Ferchland, who tallied her own free position goal 1:04 later to knot the game up at five.

At 23:03 Casey Armstrong's opened a 3-0 run for Muhlenberg over the next three minutes before Ferchland netted her fourth at 19:19. From there the Mules scored the next six goals to open a 14-6 advantage.

Kristin Carroll collected her ninth goal of the year at 9:51 before Muhlenberg tallied the game's final four goals, increasing the hosts' lead to 11 (18-7) at the final whistle.

Lindsay Ramos (2-4) took the loss for the Golden Eagles and recorded a season-best 15 saves on 28 shots in 46:11. Darrien Diaz allowed five goals in 13:49 of relief action.

Ferchland's four goals matched a season-high she set in a 15-10 victory over Hartwick on March 19. The senior also led her side in shots on goal (5).

Cordano and Kelly Walsh collected team-best in ground balls (3) and draw controls (4), respectively.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 2 when they host Mount Saint Mary College in a Skyline Conference contest at 1:00 PM. Live stats will be available here.
