Women's Track & Field Set for 2013 ECAC Championships

Patchogue, N.Y. - The women's indoor track & field team is set to compete at the ECAC Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend.

Senior Christine Cristobal (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hallow Hills West) will compete for the second time at the indoor championships in the 800m after taking second place at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships with a time of 2:19.16.

The 3200-meter relay of senior Maureen Quinn (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point), junior Caitlyn Ryan (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East), sophomore AnnMarie Zigrosser (Bayport, N.Y./St. John the Baptist) and freshman Brittany Guttieri (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) are set to make history as they are the first relay team to ever qualify for an ECAC Indoor Championship. These talented ladies were ranked and took fourth with a time of 10:08.59 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships.

The ECAC Championships are set for Friday and Saturday, March 1-2 at the New Balance Track & Field Center in New York City. The 800m and 3200-meter relay are set for Saturday afternoon.
