Cross Country Takes Second and Third at New Paltz Invitational

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's and women's cross country teams raced at the New Paltz Invitational with second and first place finished, respectively, on Friday evening.

In his first race back with the Golden Eagles, graduate student Matt Lopez turned in a time of 27:30.5 and was the overall top finisher out of 94

Freshman Ryan Steinberg finished 9th overall in the 8k race with a time of 29:37.3

Graduate student Patrick Wuss finished at 30:57.7 slightly edging out sophomore Jimmy Mintel with a time of 30:57.8

The women's top finisher was junior Gianna Dickson, who placed second overall out of 83 runners with a time of 25:52.5

Senior Marissa Degni finished third overall with a time of 26:45.6

Junior Emily Medina rounded out the top three for the Golden Eagles with a 29th-place finish at 34:30.6
