Basile Appears on All-ECAC First-Team

ECAC Release

Danbury, CT| Senior Frank Basile of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's basketball team earned All-ECAC First-Team honors when the conference released its end-of-season awards on Wednesday morning.

The guard appeared on the Skyline All-Conference Second-Team for the second-straight season prior to earning ECAC honors.

Basile finished runner-up to Yeshiva's Ryan Turell in the conference's scoring championship (22.8 PPG). Additionally, the guard finished sixth in the conference in rebounding (8.5 RPG), eighth in steals (1.8 SPG), third in three-pointers per game (3.3) and fifth in three-point shooting percentage (36.9%).

On December 8, Basile became the 15th player in program history to score 1,000 career points at St. Joseph's and went on to finish his career fifth all-time in scoring with 1,409 career points. His 603 rebounds and 201 three-point field goals were both good for third all-time.

Basile landed on the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll seven times in 2019-20 and was named ECAC Metro Player of the Month for December. The men's basketball team posted a 7-17 overall record and failed to qualify for the Skyline Conference Championship.
