Written by Andrew Capitelli (SJC-LI Sports Information)

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team was selected to finish first in the Skyline Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, which was released on the conference website on Friday morning.

After a season in which the Golden Eagles posted a perfect 7-0 regular season conference record and claimed the program's first-ever Skyline title, head coach Bob Vlahakis returns 14 members from last season's squad despite graduating six key seniors.

St. Joseph's collected 47 total points and five first-place votes in the poll, with Farmingdale St., the side SJC defeated 7-5 in the conference final last spring, coming in second with 44 points and two first-place votes. Mount St. Mary rounded out the top three with 38 points and one first-place tally.
