Women's Volleyball Downed by Brooklyn, 3-1

Brooklyn, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference contest, 3-1, at Brooklyn College on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles slide to 1-3 on the season as the Bulldogs improve to 4-1.

Brooklyn opened the match with a 25-15 win before SJC evened the score, 1-1, with a 25-23 win in set two.

The home team responded, taking the third set, 25-20, and later secured the victory with a 28-26 set-four win.

Senior middle Amanda Goldstein led SJC with 10 kills while hitting at a .333 clip. Sophomore Madison Gremli pitched in with six kills and 11 digs. Sophomore setter Tara Langford dished 16 assists, and sophomore libero April Sexton was credited with 14 digs.

Ashley Fung led the Bulldogs with a double-double of 16 kills and 14 digs. Setter Ezri Shor tossed 35 assists with libero Zoey Van Vleet finishing with a match-high 21 digs.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, September 18, when they travel to Ramapo College. Game time is slated for 12:00 pm.
