Sexton and Dickson Nab Skyline Weekly Honors

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning, and amongst the winners were April Sexton of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team and Gianna Dickson of the cross country team.

Additionally, Amanda Goldstein (women's volleyball) and Matt Lopez (cross country) earned weekly Honor Roll honors.

April Sexton (So.) - Women's Volleyball Libero of the Week
In the 2021 season-opener, Sexton turned in a 15 dig performance in her SJC debut in the four-set win over Ramapo College. The libero registered a .965 (28-for-29) passing percentage in serve receive along the SJC back row while adding one service ace.

Gianna Dickson (So.) - Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Dickson was SJC's top performer finishing 24th overall with a time of 21:30.70. Among Division III runners, the sophomore finished third.

Amanda Goldstein (Sr.) - Women's Volleyball Honor Roll
Goldstein led all players in the season-opener with 13 kills while hitting at a .455 clip. The senior middle hitter also added four digs and a service ace.

Matt Lopez (Jr.) - Men's Cross Country Honor Roll
Lopez was the top male Division III runner in the 8k race having placed 12th with a time of 26:41.70.
