Baseball Player of the Week
Edward Bergmann – Farmingdale State
Senior, CF, East Meadow, NY/East Meadow HS

Bergmann had a pair of multi-hit performances and scored six runs in four victories as third-seeded Farmingdale State claimed its seventh straight Skyline title…added three walks and two RBI in the four contests…was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Championship for his efforts…tabbed the Skyline Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Dan Diblasi – St. Joseph's-L.I.
Junior, RHP, Westbury, NY/W.T. Clarke HS

Diblasi tossed a nine inning complete-game shutout on May 2 as St. Joseph's-L.I. recorded a 3-0 win over Maritime in an elimination game for both teams in the opening round of the Skyline Championship…scattered seven hits and fanned two…marked his third win and third complete game of the season….lowered his earned run average to 2.38.

Baseball Rookie of the Week
Matt Seelinger – Farmingdale State
Freshman, RHP, Levittown, NY/WT Clarks HS

Seelinger allowed two runs on three hits over six innings on Sunday afternoon to earn the victory as Farmingdale State captured its seventh consecutive Skyline title with a 5-2 win at Old Westbury…struck out three to improve to 3-0…has allowed just 12 hits in 23.2 innings pitched on the season.
