James and Cristobal Set for 2012 ECAC Championships

Patchogue, N.Y. – Junior's Maxwell James (Fort Salonga, N.Y./Kings Park and Christine Cristobal (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hallow Hills West) of the St. Joseph's College men's and women's indoor track & field team are set to compete at this weekend's ECAC Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.

James, one of the Golden Eagles' finest makes his third trip to the indoor championships competing in the 500m.  Last year he took 19th with a career best of 1:07.05. This year he goes into the championships with 29 other competitors with a time of 1:07.82 set at the CTC Indoor Championships.

Cristobal makes her first ECAC appearance to the indoor championships qualifying in both the 1000m and 800m.  She is set to compete in the 800m, previously running a time of 2:19.52 set last week at the NJAC Indoor Championships.  This race will have 28 other competitors.

The ECAC Championships are set for Friday and Saturday, March 2-3 at the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory.  Cristobal and James are set to compete on Saturday in the early afternoon.  Live video of the meet can be accessed through the links above and on team schedule pages.
