Women's Lacrosse Falls to Farmingdale on Tuesday

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team suffered an 11-2 Skyline Conference loss to Farmingdale State College at Danzi Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Junior Melissa Newman and freshman Courtney Donato accounted for the Golden Eagles' goals with senior Breana Daly dishing an assist.

Deirdre Carney picked up a team-best six ground balls, three draw controls, and four caused turnovers. Grace Erny collected five ground balls and Chloe Anthony grabbed three.

FSC's Athena Vogiatzis found the back of the net five times with Jasmin Brown pitching in with three goals and two assists. Anna Zaborowska recorded a game-best seven ground balls and six draw controls.

The Golden Eagles scored one goal in each half, but the Rams proved to be too much as they sailed to the 11-2 win.

SJC's Jillian Hummel turned away 15 shots with her counterpart Ronnie Reilly making 12 saves.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, April 11 when they host SUNY Purchase at 6:00 pm.
