Gagliardi and Senecal Garner Major Skyline Weekly Awards

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and amongst the winners were seniors Christina Gagliardi (women's soccer) and Danielle Senecal (women's volleyball) who were named Offensive Player of the Week and Libero of the Week in their respective sports.

Additionally, seniors Juliana Cintron-Leonardo (women's soccer) and Rayneri Ruiz (men's soccer) appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls.

Christina Gagliardi (Sr.) – Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Gagliardi led the Golden Eagles in a 2-0 week averaging 4.5 goals-per-game with 20 points on nine goals and two assists. The forward tallied a hat trick with an assist (seven points) in a 5-1 win over SUNY Old Westbury on September 25 and then went on to record a program-best six goals with an assist (13 points) in a 7-2 win over SUNY Maritime on September 28. As of Monday afternoon, Gagliardi led the nation in points-per-game (4.75), goals-per-game (2.00) and total goals (16).

Danielle Senecal (Sr.) – Women's Volleyball Libero of the Week
Senecal averaged 5.55 digs-per-set with 61 total digs in a 2-1 week for the Golden Eagles. She led all players with 15 digs in the Skyline opener against St. Joseph's (Brkln) on September 25 and again with 22 digs in a 3-1 win over Baruch College on September 28. Senecal currently leads the conference in total digs (477) and digs-per-set (4.72).  

Juliana Cintron-Leonardo (Sr.) – Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll
Cintron-Leonardo recorded a pair of Skyline wins in net for the Golden Eagles last week. The senior tallied three saves in wins over Old Westbury (9/25) and SUNY Maritime (9/28) to improve to 6-3-1 on the season.

Rayneri Ruiz (Sr.) – Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll
Ruiz powered the Golden Eagles to a 4-2 victory over Old Westbury on September 25 with a seven-point performance (3 goals, 1 assist). The forward is currently tied for the conference lead in total goals (six) and has the sole lead in total points (14).
