Skyline Conference Releases Fall 2023 Preseason Coaches Polls
New York, NY| Four St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) fall athletics programs finish in the top five in the Skyline Conference Coaches Preseason Polls as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
Women's Cross Country, who finished the 2022-23 season in second place just edged out the Skyline Conference champion for the previous year to take the one spot heading into the season. The women finished with 113 total points with four first-place votes. The team will see two critical returners, Gianna Dickson and Marissa Degni named to the All-Conference teams a year ago.
Men's Cross Country collected 90 total points in the poll good for a fourth-place finish.
Women's Tennis, the runner-up in last year's standings, finished second in this year's preseason poll, securing 32 total points, with two first-place votes.
Women's Volleyball and Women's Soccer who saw their season come to an end in the playoffs last year, received fourth, and fifth place, respectively.
Men's Soccer was picked to finish seventh this year, after just missing out on the playoffs the year prior. Golf secured the sixth spot after concluding last season with a seventh-place finish at the Skyline Championships.
