Cabanillas and Monti Highlight Weekly Awards

New York, NY| Junior Alison Cabanillas and freshman AvaGrace Monti of the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's swim team were named Skyline Conference Swimmer of the Week and Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week as announced on Tuesday morning.

Alison Cabanillas (Jr.) - Women's Swimming Swimmer of the Week

Cabanillas secured a first-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:23.71). The junior finished first in the 500-yard freestyle (5:52.79). The Central Islip, NY native was a part of the relay team that added a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:59.73).

AvaGrace Monti (Fr.) - Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week

Monti led the Golden Eagles to a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (2:04.29). The freshman placed first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:26.29). The Farmingville, NY native posted another first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.93).
