Diana Johnston Tabbed ECAC South Region Rookie of the Week

Danbury, CT| Freshman midfielder Diana Johnston collected her second weekly accolade on Tuesday afternoon when she was named ECAC Women's Lacrosse South Region Rookie of the Week. The Commack, NY native was named Skyline Conference Rookie of Week on Monday afternoon.
In two games last week, Johnston collected seven goals and one assist for a total of eight points. In SJC's 19-15 win over SUNY Old Westbury on Wednesday, the midfielder tallied four goals and one assist, while causing two turnovers and earning a game-best eight draw controls on the afternoon. Johnston would tally her third hat trick of the year in a 13-12 victory over the Mount St. Mary on Saturday afternoon. Before play on Tuesday afternoon the freshman ranked third on the team in both goals (19) and points (22).
Johnston and the women's lacrosse team return to action on Tuesday, April 11 when they visit the College of Mount St. Vincent for a Skyline Conference showdown at 4:00 pm.
