The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's soccer team earned a 2-2 draw against New Jersey City University on Wednesday afternoon.

Top performers

• Senior Abbey Curcio and junior Karly Sauve tallied a goal apiece for the Golden Eagles
• St. Joseph's keeper Mikayla Ritter finished with seven saves
• Rebecca Lopez and Samantha Szymanski each found the back of the net for the Gothic Knights

How it happened

• Curcio broke up a 0-0 stalemate in the final minutes of the first frame when she one-timed a pass from Emily Farrington past NJCU's Sophia Mannino
• The Gothic Knights evened the score after Rebecca Lopez connected with a pass from Kim Brites in the 52nd minute
• Lopez went on to assist on Samantha Szymanski's go-ahead goal just eight minutes later
• The Golden Eagles went on to tie the score at two when Erica Urbancik's free kick hit off the crossbar and found the head of Sauve in the 72nd minute
