Women’s Swimming Takes Third at Sarah Lawrence Spring Carnival

Bronxville, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team placed third out of seven teams at the 7th Annual Sarah Lawrence Sprint Carnival on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Samantha Mullman posted SJC's first significant result on the afternoon with a second-place finish in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 58.94.

Later in the meet, the sprinter would place first in the 50 yard free with a time of 26.76--nearly a second and a half faster than the second-place finisher. She'd pick up her second first-place finish in the 200 yard free (2:10.87) several events later.

Fellow sophomore Aileen Baker (1:13.91) and freshman Isabella Peralta (2:53.36) placed fourth in the 100 yard backstroke and 200 yard IM, respectively.

The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Mullman, Baker and both Isabella and Catherine Peralta took third place (1:57.52).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, November 3 when they hosts SUNY Purchase in a Skyline Conference meet at 6:00 pm.
