Women’s Swimming Earns Victories Over New Rochelle, SJC-Brooklyn on Saturday

New Rochelle, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team earned victories over the College of New Rochelle (98-77) and St. Joseph's College (Brkln) (98-65) in a non-conference double-duel on Saturday afternoon.

In total, the Golden Eagles earned six first-place finishes and were led by sophomore Samantha Mullman, who won the 50 yard free (27.12) and the 100 yard free (59.96).

The Massapequa native was also a part of SJC's 200 yard freestyle relay team--featuring Catherine Peralta, Aileen Baker and Marissa Palmeri--that placed first with a time of 2:02.36.

Baker earned a pair of first-place individual finishes herself in the 200 yard free (2:18.58) and the 100 yard backstroke (1:13.88).

Palmeri took first in the 1000 yard free (13:52.33) and placed second in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:30.02).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, November 17 for a Skyline Conference double-duel at Sarah Lawrence College with the Gryphons and SUNY Maritime. Start time for the meet is set for 7:00 pm.
