Women’s Swimming Falls to Mt. St. Mary, St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn on Saturday

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team suffered a pair of losses to Mount St. Mary College (162-60) and St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn (139-77) in a Skyline Conference double duel inside the Danzi Center on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Marissa Palmeri posted SJC's only first-place finish on the afternoon with a 13:56.70 time in the 1,000 yard freestyle.

Freshman Bella Peralta placed second in the 50 yard free with a time of 33.49 and was third in the 100 yard butterfly (1:17.27).

Senior Catherine Peralta earned third-place finishes in the 500 yard freestyle (6:46.78) and the 200 yard freestyle (2:28.78).

Kayleigh Aiello took third in the 100 yard backstroke (1:19.73).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, December 8 when they head to Kings Point, NY to face SUNY Old Westbury and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in a Skyline Conference double duel at 5:00 pm.
