Women’s Tennis Eliminated in Skyline Semis

Farmingdale, NY| The fourth-seeded St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team was defeated, 5-1, by top-seeded Farmingdale State in the semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Championship on Wednesday evening.

Farmingdale, which defeated SJC in the conference championship match in the spring, advances to the final for the second-straight season.

The Golden Eagles wrap their fall schedule with a 4-6 overall mark.

SJC recorded its only win of the match at second doubles, where Madison DiPalo and Jessica Jones secured an 8-7 (10-8) victory.

Trailing 2-1 heading into singles play, St. Joseph's dropped a trio of singles matches and was defeated.

Farmingdale beat SJC, 7-2, in regular-season play on October 14.
