Senecal Named Skyline WVB Co-Rookie of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday evening, and amongst the winners was Danielle Senecal of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team who was named Co-Rookie of the Week. Additionally, Senecal's teammate Kiersten Kissinger received Weekly Honor Roll recognition.
Danielle Senecal (So.) – Co-Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Averaged 5.13 digs-per-set in two matches last week as the women's volleyball team posted a 2-0 record and extended its winning streak to nine games. The first-year libero posted game-highs in digs in both victories, collecting 15 in a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence and 26 (matched season-best) in a 3-2, come-from-behind victory over Sage on Saturday afternoon. A Manorville, NY native, Senecal is currently second in the conference in digs-per-set this season (4.18).
Kiersten Kissinger (Sr.) – Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll
A Weekly Honor Roll selection for the first time in her career, Kissinger went for 20 kills, which matched a season-best, and three blocks in SJC's 3-2 win over Sage on Saturday afternoon. In seven sets of action, the senior collected a total of 23 kills and collected 26 points.
