Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to 10 games and advanced to the Skyline Conference Championships semifinals for the sixth-straight season after a 3-0 dismissal of the College of Mt. St. Vincent in the first round of the tournament inside the Danzi Center on Tuesday evening.

With the win, the third-seeded Golden Eagles improve to 14-13 on the year as the sixth-seeded Dolphins end their campaign with a 11-19 record.

SJC opened the match strong and built an 18-10 lead following a service ace by junior Claire Urizzo, but it would be fellow junior Morgan Tiska's kill that eventually clinched the 25-16 first-set win that saw SJC go up 1-0.

Carrying their momentum into the second set, the Golden Eagles again jumped out to an 18-10 lead before winning the frame by the same scoreline (25-16).

The Dolphins would maintain pace in the third set and found themselves down just point (14-13) midway through before later tying the score at 24, but consecutive kills by seniors Kiersten Kissinger and Erin Kelly saw the hosts take the set 26-24 and advance through to the semis with a 3-0 match victory.

Senior Courtney Bocchieri hit at a .579 completion rate and collected a team-best 11 kills. Both Kelly and Kissinger contributed nine kills of their own, and Tiska went for six.

Sophomore Danielle Senecal was credited with a game-best 14 digs while Urizzo and Kelly collected 10 apiece.

Senior Courtney Wickline dished out a game-high 37 assists and scooped up seven digs.

The Golden Eagles' will face second-seeded U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on the road in the conference semis this Thursday, November 3. Time for the match will be announced on Wednesday.
