Three Golden Eagles Named to the All-Conference Team

Written by Joshua Soto (SJC-LI Sports Information)

New York, NY| Senior Courtney Bocchieri earned First-Team accolades and Kiersten Kissinger and Danielle Senecal appeared on the Second-Team as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team collected end-of-season Skyline Conference awards which were released by the conference on Monday afternoon.

For Bocchieri, it's her second All-Conference selection having appeared on the Second-Team a season ago. Her First-Team selection comes after leading her team and finishing second in the conference in hitting percentage (.280). The middle hitter's 225 kill count was good for eighth in the Skyline and is the eighth highest single-season total in St. Joseph's history. Additionally, Bocchieri leaves the program finishing in the top-10 in career kills with 445 in her two years as a Golden Eagle.

Kissinger, who came back from a season-ending injury a season ago, collected 212 kills in 27 matches. The senior right sided hitter is second on the team in kills and is sixth in the conference in kills per set (2.62). The Islip Terrence, NY native has totaled 103 digs on the year and is credited with 22 total blocks, which is good enough for third on the team.

A first-year libero, Senecal recorded a conference-best dig/set ration (4.37) and finished third in the conference in digs (398). In her first year with the Golden Eagles, Senecal ranked fourth on the team in service aces (29) and complied 54 assists. The Manorville, NY native recorded a season-best 33 digs in the Skyline Conference semifinal loss to Merchant Marine on Nov. 3.
