
Men's and Women's Cross Country Take Fourth-Place at ECAC Championships

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's and women's cross country teams took home a fourth-place finish at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, NY on Saturday afternoon.

Graduate student Matt Lopez was the overall top finisher in the 8K race turning in a time of 26:56.1, breaking the SJLI course record previously held by Ryan Haun

Sophomore Ethan Humin came in at 29:54.3 for a 17th-place finish

Junior Gianna Dickson led the way for the women with a 6K time of 25:59.4 to place fifth overall

Senior Marissa Degni came in just behind her in sixth with a time of 26:03.2

On the women's side, Vassar (40 points) edged Hartford (44 points) for the team crown in a tight battle, Pratt took third (85 points) with the Golden Eagles finishing with 142

The men finished with a team score of 101, trailing third-place Hartford by 15 points. Skyline rival USMMA took home the title with a score of 53 just ahead of Vassar with 62 points
