Iavarone Tabbed Skyline Women's Basketball Player of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners was junior Andrea Iavarone who was named Women's Basketball Player of the Week. 

The forward scored 26 points on 7-11 shooting to lift the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's basketball team to a 79-31 win over Yeshiva University on Tuesday night. Iavarone also contributed on the boards with 15 rebounds, and dished out two assists in the contests. The Miller Place, NY native now has six double-doubles to her name this season, leads the conference in scoring (18.9 PPG), is second in rebounds-per-game (13.2) and third in field goal percentage (46.5%).

Iavarone and the Golden Eagles resume play on Monday, January 2 when the team travels to take on Trinity at 6:00PM. Live video and stats available here.
