Kansas City, MO| JoAnn Murino of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team was selected to the 2015 NSCAA NCAA Division III All-East Region Third-Team, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.

Murino, a Skyline All-Conference First-Team selection in 2015 and a Second-Team selection in 2013 and 2014, started in 19 of 20 appearances in both central defense and midfield this past season. The Bohemia, NY native anchored the St. Joseph's College backline that held its opponents to a .121 shooting percentage, allowing only 32 goals on the season. A two-year captain of the team, Murino also contributed three goals on the season, two of which were game-winners.

"JoJo did an amazing job this year anchoring our back line," said SJC head coach Nic DeZenzo. "Her consistency on the field played a major role in our success this year and I could not think of a better way for her to be rewarded."

The Fordham transfer was one of six Skyline Conference players to receive All-East Region honors with members of the Farmingdale State, SUNY Purchase and Sage also earning recognition.
