New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and amongst the winners were juniors Frank Basile (men's basketball) and Paul Curaro (men's volleyball) of St. Joseph's College (L.I.), who were named Players of the Week in their respective sports.

Frank Basile (Jr.) - Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Basile takes home Player of the Week accolades for the second-straight week after averaging 25.7 points- and 6.7 rebounds-per-game in three games. The guard matched a career-high of 35 points (14-23 FG, 7-11 3FG) in a loss to Old Westbury on Jan. 31 and capped off the week with his 10th double-double (23 points, 11 rebounds) in a loss to Mount St. Vincent on Feb. 2. The conference's leading scorer (21.1 PPG) tallied a team-high 19 points in a loss at USMMA on Jan. 29.

Paul Curaro (Jr.) - Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

Curaro powered the Golden Eagles to a 3-0 victory over non-conference opponent Lehman College on January 29. The outside hitter hit .714 in the contest and put down a game-best six kills. In addition, the Holbrook, NY native was credited with two blocks and two digs. Skyline Player of the Week for the third time in his career, Curaro leads the conference in kills-per-set (2.77) and is second in hitting percentage (.187).
