Biggers, Holownia and Zucker Earn Skyline Weekly Honors

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday evening and amongst the winners were junior Kyle Biggers (men's volleyball), senior Jennifer Holownia (women's track) and freshman Catherine Zucker (softball) of St. Joseph's College (L.I.), who were named Player, Athlete and Pitcher of the Week in their respective sports.

Additionally, sophomore Tori Staker (women's lacrosse) and junior Tom Woodford (baseball) appeared on the Weekly Honor Roll.

Kyle Biggers (Jr.) – Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

Conference Player of the Week for the seventh time in his career, Biggers hit .415 in 12 sets last week and was credited with 26 kills. The middle blocker averaged 2.17 kills-per-set and collected three blocks.

Jennifer Holownia (Sr.) – Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row, Holownia finished in second place in a field of 36 in the 400m hurdles event at the TCNJ Invitational with a time of 1:08.14.

Catherine Zucker (Fr.) – Softball Pitcher of the Week

Zucker posted a 2-0 record with a .50 ERA in two pitching appearances last week. The freshman allowed just seven hits in 14 innings and struck out 11 batters in two complete-game victories.

Tori Staker (So.) – Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

Staker scored five goals on seven shots in SJC's 11-5 win over SUNY Maritime on April 2. The midfielder was also credited with three ground balls and one caused turnover.

Tim Woodford (Jr.) – Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

In a 5-1 win over Yeshiva on April 5, Woodford tossed a complete-game, striking out 16 batters and allowing one earned run. The junior allowed just five hits in the contest.
