Baseball Downs Pirates 10-4 in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-  The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) baseball team won its first game against the Dominican Summer League (DSL) Pittsburgh Pirates, 10-4, thanks to a three-run seventh inning on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles scored in the seventh on an RBI single by James Terry, a walk by Andrew Libertelli, and a wild pitch.

James Terry had a solid day at the plate going 3-for-4 driving in a run and scoring two.

Josh Outsen got the job done on the bump in his route to a win. He allowed one run over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out eight, walked two and surrendered two hits.

After taking the 1-0 lead in the second inning the Golden Eagles never gave up their lead,

Two of the Golden Eagles baserunners came all the way around to score in each of the fifth, sixth and eighth. 

A pair of singles in the seventh would drive in three run but the St. Joseph's downed the Pirates 10-4
