The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball took set one from No. 2 Springfield College, but ultimately fell 3-1 in the Danzi Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles had a strong start in the opening set following a pair of aces from Jason Koehler two more points went in favor of SJLI for an 11-6 lead

Springfield's Anderson brought the Pride to within two, 20-18, but SJLI's Johnson and Williams combined for the final five kills for the 25-18 win

A closely played second set saw the teams within one point of each other until a St. Joseph's service ended the set at 25-23 in favor of the Pride

Springfield went on to post their best hitting percentages in sets three and four .471 and .600, respectively, and closed out the match with 25-13 and 25-15 wins
