New York, NY| Five Golden Eagles received Skyline Conference Weekly awards when the conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning.

Freshman Luke Macpherson was named Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week and Connor Ruais received Men's Volleyball Libero of the Week.

Additionally, junior Mark Williams of men's volleyball, junior Lanyah Ford of women's basketball, and junior Xavier Allen of men's basketball all secured Weekly Honor Roll honors.

Luke MacPherson (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week 

MacPherson finished the week with 18 kills while matching a team-best 20 digs over three matches. The freshman added four service aces and a pair of blocks. The outside hitter recorded seven kills in each of the 3-0 wins over Baruch and SUNY Potsdam while adding six and eight digs, respectively. 

Connor Ruais (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Libero of the Week

Ruais totaled 18 digs over three matches for the Golden Eagles. The Oakdale, NY native was 29-for-29 in service receptions with 11 digs in a 3-0 sweep of SUNY Potsdam before recording 17 receptions with three digs against #5 Vassar. 

Mark Williams (Jr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

Williams led the Golden Eagles with 32 kills averaging 3.56 kills per set in a 2-1 week for St. Joseph's. The junior picked up a team-best 20 digs, good for 2.22 digs per set. Also recorded six total blocks, four service aces, and a pair of assists. Tallied a match-high 13 kills with five digs, three aces, and two total blocks in a 3-0 sweep over Baruch College. The outside hitter finished with a double-double of 14 kills and 12 digs with four blocks in a 3-0 win over SUNY Potsdam.

Lanyah Ford (Jr.) - Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll 

Ford helped guide the Golden Eagles to its lone victory of the week over Sarah Lawrence. The junior produced a near triple-double performance with 19 points, a team-leading 10 rebounds, and nine assists. The guard scored a career-high six baskets from beyond the arc, hitting at a 75% clip from three-point range.


Xavier Allen (Jr.) - Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Allen led the Golden Eagles with 33 total points, averaging 16.5 points per game on 53.8% shooting from the field. The guard added 16 rebounds, and 8.0 boards per game with five assists, two blocks, and two steals. The Mattituck, NY native finished with a game-high 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting from the field with nine rebounds against SUNY Maritime.
