New York, NY| Seven Golden Eagles received Skyline recognition when the conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning.
Senior Phil Krpata of the baseball team was named Baseball Player of the Week and for the fourth time this season freshman Luke MacPherson of men's volleyball was named Rookie of the Week.
Additionally, junior Andrew Monda of the baseball team, junior Mark Williams, and freshman Connor Ruais of men's volleyball, sophomore Nik Allen of men's lacrosse, and Jamie Trowbridge of women's lacrosse all landed on the Weekly Honor Roll.
Phil Krpata (Sr.) - Baseball Player of the Week
Krpata finished the week hitting .476 after going 10-for-21 at the plate. The senior recorded a .810 slugging percentage courtesy of two home runs and a double The right fielder knocked in 10 runs while scoring nine and was a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases. He went 4-for-8 with a double, a home run, seven RBIs, five runs scored, and four stolen bases in a doubleheader sweep of Yeshiva before turning in a 4-for-7 performance with a home run, three RBIs, three runs scored, with a pair of stolen bases in two wins over Mt. St. Mary College
Luke MacPherson (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
MacPherson finished the week with 15 kills averaging 2.14 kills per set with eight digs 1.14 digs per set, three assists, two assists, and two blocks. The freshman paced the Golden Eagles with 10 kills while adding three digs, an ace, and a block against #7 SUNY New Paltz.
Andrew Monda (So.) - Baseball Weekly Honor Roll
Monda went 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA this week allowing just one run with five strikeouts in an eight-inning start against Mt. St. Mary.
Mark Williams (Jr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll
Williams paced the Golden Eagles with 26 kills averaging 3.25 kills per set across three matches. The junior added nine service aces averaging 1.13 aces per set, picked up eight digs, and finished with six blocks. The outside hitter led the Golden Eagles with 11 kills while adding two aces, three digs, and three blocks in a 3-0 sweep of New Jersey City before turning in nine kills, five digs, and three blocks against # 7 SUNY New Paltz
Connor Ruais (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll
Ruais totaled seven digs and 28 service receptions over three matches last week. The freshman was a perfect 15-for-15 in receptions with five digs in a 3-0 sweep over NCJU and followed with 12 service receptions against #7 SUNY New Paltz.
Nik Allen (So.) - Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll
Allen guided the Golden Eagles with three goals and one assist in the lone game of the week The defenseman totaled four points all while collecting one ground ball in a non-conference matchup with New Paltz.
Jamie Trowbridge (Sr.) - Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll
Trowbridge led the Golden Eagles with one goal and two assists for a total of three points in their only game of the week. The junior added a team-high 10 draw controls and one caused turnover.
