Five Golden Eagles Land on Skyline Conference Honor Roll

New York, NY| Five Golden Eagles received Skyline Conference Weekly awards when the conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning.

Junior Xavier Allen, junior Lanyah Ford, freshman Megan Spina, senior Tyler Anderson, and freshman Connor Ruias all received Skyline Weekly Honor Roll recognition. 

Xavier Allen (Jr.) - Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Allen led the Golden Eagles with 29 total points over a two-game span. The junior averaged 14.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. The guard added 14 points with 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a win against Farmingdale St. 

Lanyah Ford (Jr.) - Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

The guard led the Golden Eagles with a 32-point week averaging 16.0 points per game on 46.9% shooting from the field. Ford also scored a game-high 22 points, adding seven rebounds and two assists in a win against St. Joseph's Brooklyn. 

Megan Spina (Fr.) - Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Spina provided the Golden Eagles with 14 total points on the week. The guard averaged 7.0 points, to go along with 2.5 rebounds, one assist, and two steals per game. The Selden, NY native contributed 10 points, four rebounds, and one assist in the Golden Eagles' victory over St. Joseph's Brooklyn.

Tyler Anderson (Sr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

The outside hitter averaged 3.33 kills per set for a total of 10 kills with a .667 hitting percentage in a lone match against Drew University. The senior recorded three digs, with five block assists and three services aces. 

Connor Ruais (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll 

Ruais played in three sets in a 3-0 victory against Drew University. The libero provided the Golden Eagles with three assists and four digs. The freshman was also a perfect 14-14 on service receives for the match.
