Albany, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team's season came to an end on Saturday night, as it fell to #4 The Sage Colleges, 4-0, in the first round of the Skyline Championship at the Albany College of Pharmacy Complex. The Golden Eagles conclude their season with a 5-13-1 record as the Gators (11-7) will advance to the semifinals.

In a match that saw the Gators outshoot the visitors, 23-3, the Golden Eagles were still able to create chances, but failed to reach the back of the net.

Sage controlled much of the possession in the early going, recording the match's first shot in the second minute.  The Golden Eagles saw their first scoring opportunity in the 25th minute, when Katie Condron went streaking down the left side and fired a shot which was parried by the Gator's goalkeeper Cassy Robataille.  Despite firing off an additional two shots, SJC and the Gators entered the break scorless.

The Gators kept attacking the Golden Eagles' defense before finally scoring the game's first goal in the 54th minute. Sage's Taylor Lynch delivered a through ball to the feet of Samantha Trimblett who chipped a shot to the goal for the 1-0 lead.  Madison Spohr doubled Sage's lead,2-0, when she received a pass from Savannah Mason, and slot it home in the 70th minute.

With momentum on their side, the Gators were able to rally of two goals in a three minute span (83, 86) from both Lynch and Logan respectively, to down the Golden Eagles 4-0.

Freshman goalkeeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo collected seven saves for the Golden Eagles, as Robataille tallied two saves.
