Women's Soccer holds on to 3-2 win over Lycoming

The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team took down the Lycoming College 3-2 Saturday afternoon in day one of the Penn College Invitational Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles even out at 1-1 on the season as the Warriors slide to 0-4.

Junior Christina Gagliardi put SJC on the board with an unassisted goal in the sixth minute of play before sending a ball in the box for sophomore Carly Credidio who blasted a goal for a 2-0 advantage seven minutes into play. Junior Jaclyn O'Shaughnessy sent in a corner kick and connected with junior Claire Brady who beat the Warrior keeper to put the Golden Eagles ahead by three at the half.

The Warriors went on to make some noise in the second half with goals from Megan Oyler and Bailey Gilmore, but the Golden Eagles would hold on for the 3-2 win.

St. Joseph's was outshot 18-6 by the Warriors, but goalkeeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo finished with nine saves on the day with her counterpart Helen Ross finishing with one.
