Women's Soccer Blanks Mt. St. Vincent, 2-0

Riverdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team picked up a 2-0 Skyline Conference win over the College of Mt. St. Vincent on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles improve to 8-6 on the season with a 5-2 conference mark. The Dolphins fall to 4-8-1 overall, 3-4 Skyline.

Junior Jessica Passabile opened the scoring in the ninth minute of play when she knocked in a rebound of Christina Gagliardi's save shot for an early 1-0 SJC lead.

The score would remain the same over the next 78 minutes until junior Shannon Condron provided some insurance when she buried a shot from the far side to move the game to its final 2-0.

The Golden Eagles outshot the Dolphins 22-6 with a 3-1 corner kick advantage. SJC goalkeeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo recorded two save with her counterpart Meaghan Cleary finishing with 10.

The Golden Eagles close out the regular season on Wednesday, October 24 when they travel to face Maritime College. Game time is slated for 5:00 pm.
