Women's Soccer Earns 9-0 Win Over Yeshiva

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team earned a 9-0 Skyline Conference win over Yeshiva University Friday morning.

The Golden Eagles improve 7-6 on the season with a 4-2 conference record. The Maccabees fall to 0-11 overall, 0-8 in Skyline play.

Freshman Megan O'Neil connected with sophomore Carly Credidio twice early in the opening frame to put St. Joseph's ahead 2-0. Later in the half, junior Shannon Condron beat the YU keeper off a pass from freshman Amanda Fabris for a 3-0 SJC advantage. Credidio recorded her third goal of the day in the 36th minute followed by senior Samantha Caruso's unassisted blast from 30 yards out to send the Golden Eagles into the break leading 5-0.

Four different Golden Eagles recorded goals in the second half starting with junior Jessica Passabile's header from inside the box three minutes in. Freshman Gianna Castilletti capitalized on a cross sent from Condron in the 53rd minute before senior Rebecca Walsh's shot found the back of the net in the 62nd minute. Fabris capped the scoring with her unassisted goal in the 72nd minute to bring the game to its final 9-0.

SJC outshot Yeshiva 33-0 with a 17-0 corner kick advantage. YU's starting keeper Rivka Lindenblatt recorded eight saves with Gabriella Chutter finishing with two.

The Golden Eagles continue Skyline Conference play on Saturday, October 20 when they travel to take on the College of Mt. St. Vincent. Game time is slated for 1:00 pm.
