Women's Soccer held Scoreless by William Paterson

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team was shutout in a non-conference contest with William Paterson University Wednesday evening.

The 2-0 loss sends the Golden Eagles to 1-3 on the season and the Pioneers move to 2-5.

WPU opened the scoring in the tenth minute when Lorraine Moffitt's pass bounced off a St. Joseph's defender and found Marisa Adelman who blasted a shot over the head of SJC keeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo.

Later in the half, Adelman struck again sending in a feed from Danielle Dachowski moving the score to 2-0.

Cintron-Leonardo recorded 10 saves in a game that saw the Golden Eagles outshot 20-5. WPU's Erica Hickey finished her night with two saves.

St. Joseph's returns to Danzi Stadium on Sunday, September 23 when they host York College at 1:00 pm.
