Gagliardi Scores Twice in 4-0 Win Over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team began Skyline Conference action with a 4-0 win over St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn on Tuesday night.

The Golden Eagles improve to 2-4 overall (1-0 Skyline) and the Bears drop to 4-5 (1-1 Skyline).

Junior Christina Gagliardi put the Golden Eagles on the board with an unassisted goal in the 11th minute. About seven minutes later, the junior found the back of the net again for a 2-0 SJC-LI lead. In the 32nd minute senior Samantha Caruso connected with junior Shannon Condron to send the Golden Eagles into the break leading 3-0.

Sophomore Carly Credidio rounded out the scoring when she put in a rebound off a Gagliardi shot in the 63rd minute.

SJC-LI's goalkeeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo recorded three saves with her counterpart Reem Shaban finishing with six.

The Golden Eagles return to Danzi Stadium on Sunday, September 30 when they host York College. Game time is slated for 12:00 pm.
