Flushing, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team (9-2, 5-1 Skyline) won its sixth-straight match on Friday afternoon in a 9-0 sweep of Hunter College at the USTA Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.

Alana Caporale and Lindsey Charrier recorded SJC's first point of the afternoon when the pair earned an 8-2 victory at second doubles.

Amanda Post and Victoria Panicola doubled the guests' lead with an 8-3 win at first doubles, and thanks to a default win at third singles, the Golden Eagles eventually took a 3-0 lead into the singles matches.

Mandaro's 10-1 win at fifth singles put Hunter on the brink of defeat, and shortly after Caporale's 10-4 third singles win clinched the match victory for St. Joseph's.

Charrier (10-5), Panicola (10-2) and Nora Burnett (10-3) also recorded wins at fourth, first and second singles, respectively.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, October 15 when they host Brooklyn College in the final game of the regular season at 12:00 pm.
