Cross Country Runs at the Fordham Fiasco

When and Where: September 10, 2022 – Van Cortland Park (Bronx, NY)

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's and men's cross country teams both placed sixth at Saturday's Fordham Fiasco.

Top performers

• Senior Matt Lopez of the men's team finished 25th in the men's 8k race with a time of 28:31.50
• Senior Patrick Wuss (31:41.30) took 43rd place and freshman Brayden Clements (33:42.90) finished in 46th
• The women's top performer was sophomore Gianna Dickson, who place 51st with a 5k time of 22:20.40
• Senior Emily Venturi (22:46.40) and junior Marissa Degni (23:54.50) rounded out the women's top five in 53rd and 54th places, respectively

How it happened

• The men collected 173 points and trailed fifth-place Mansfield by 40 points
• The women's team's score of 186 points was 52 more than fifth-place Mansfield

Notes

• Both the men and women were the only non-Division I teams in their respective races
