Cross Country Competes at Highlander XC Challenge

Result

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's and men's cross counrty teams finished eighth and fifth, respectively, at Saturday's Highlander XC Challenge.

Top performers

• Marissa Degni led the way for the women with a 19:27.3 5k time and a 13th-place finish 
• Gianna Dickson took 24th place with a time of 20:08.0
• Matt Lopez powered the SJNY men with an 8k time of 26:50.3 and an 18th-place finish

How it happened

• The women's collected 192 points and were tops among Division III teams
• The men had 209 points and also were the best Division III team in their race

Notes

• Three Skyline Conference schools particpated at the event in both the men's and women's races
