Cross Country Hosts Golden Eagle Invitational

Result
The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's and men's cross counrty teams finished third at Friday's Golden Eagle Invitational.
Top performers
- Marissa Degni (20:03.4), Gianna Dickson (20:22.1), and Emily Venturi (21:00.2) placed seventh, tenth, and 14th, respectively in the women's 5k race
- Matt Lopez (26:43.4) finished in fifth place and was SJNY's best runner in the men's 8k race
- Jimmy Mintel (28:37.3) and Patrick Wuss (28:38.3) finished in 17th and 18th, respectively
How it happened
- The women's score of 75 were 29 points off the second place finishers USMMA
- The men collected 92 points falling behind Div. II St. Thomas Aquinas and top-finisher USMMA
Notes
- Degni's time of 20:03.4 sets a new program record for 5k time at Bethpage State Park
- Seven Skyline Conference schools particpated at the event in both the men's and women's races
